Aslan: Best in Show
Posted on 8 Sep 2015
Superness Shih Tzu is proud to announce that we are the home of the very first liver and white to be awarded a Best in Show in the Philippines. Some even think that Aslan is the very first liver and white shih tzu that has been awarded a Best in Show in the whole world although we have no ways to confirm it yet.
Our very own breeding, HOF Aslan, got the Best in Show and Best Philippine Born in Show last Aug 30 during the Metro Clark Canine Club Inc All Breeds Show held in SM Clark, Pampanga. It was a great honor for us to get such award from breed specialist Mr. John Sheppard of Australia. He is well known for his shih tzu in Australia. Getting a Best of Breed from Mr Sheppard was already a great achievement for us and yet he awarded our liver and white boy the highest award one can get in all breeds show - the Best in Show award.
No words can express how we felt that day. Aside from the Best in Show, Aslan got the Best of Breed awards in 4 out of 6 show rings that weekend under judges Mr. Ronnie Natividad of Philippines, Peerapong Pisitwuttinan of Thailand, Kenneth Chuah of Malaysia and John Sheppard of Australia. He also got 2 Best Philippine Born in Group, a Best in Group 3 and a Best in Group 2.
We were so proud of our boy. He achieved so many already that no other liver and white has achieved. Aslan is a holder of the following titles already:
Philippine Hall of Fame
Philippine Grand Champion
FCI International Champion (still waiting for FCI's confirmation)
El Salvador Champion
Costa Rica Champion
A Little Trivia:
Mr John Sheppard also gave our first Best Baby Puppy in Show on our first show dog during our first dog show. He awarded our dearest Yhomi the Best Baby Puppy in Show during Yhomi's show debut last 2006 Pedigree Bench Show.
